Benjamin Todd, MBA, PMP, President and Founder of Education, Training and Consulting Venues, a training and consulting company that specializes in project management professionalism. Ben provides educational programs, training and consulting for education providers and businesses. In addition, he has over 15 years of experience in project and business management. His practical experience includes managing various projects across all business areas that ranged from $10,000 to $50 million. This includes managing all aspects of projects from personnel to profit / loss and from procurement to post sales implementation, including training.
Mr. Todd began his career as an electronics technician for International Jensen Incorporated in Cleveland, Ohio, where he developed and managed small to medium-sized projects. After moving to Chicago, Illinois, he worked on larger audio system projects for Oxford Speaker Company. At Oxford Speaker, he was responsible for audio system development and installations for Ford, Chrysler, Honda, Boeing and Harley Davidson. He later worked for Motorola where he managed several projects including several process re-engineering projects while managing a lab for the GSM Hardware Development Group in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He has also worked for The Chicago Housing Authority as a Senior Project Manager in the Relocation and Resident Services Department, where he led a team responsible for several software solutions that managed the relocation process of Mayor Daley’s “Plan for Transformation”. He now works for Follett Software Company as a Senior Account Manager, planning post- sales implementations of their Destiny product line and as a visiting professor for colleges and universities across Chicago.
Mr. Todd is a member of both the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA®). He is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) by PMI®. Mr. Todd is married with one child and enjoys video games, sports and tinkering with his 350Z as a hobby.
